The acrobat 8 is brittler than 7. For a long time, I was annoyed by the warning - "The Organizer database is damaged and will be reset the next time Acrobat is launched".
SOLUTION:
To delete the following directory manually.
%appdata%\Adobe\Acrobat\8.0\organizer70

The solution works.
- Deleting the files in the folder.....\organizer70 as suggested.
- Next time when you open Acrobat 7 again, the files will be rebuilt in the folder with fresh ones.
- Now, no more error message.
